Resources for Creating Branching Scenarios

While branching scenarios tend to be popular with designers, stakeholders, and learners, they can be challenging to put together. The context or story, the characters in that story, the challenges the encounter, the choices they have to make, and the consequences of those choices all need to be mapped out from an instructional standpoint, a storytelling standpoint, and a programmatic standpoint.

At DevLearn last month, I spent a day with a group of e-learning professionals working on how to do just that. I’ve compiled a set of resources (examples, templates, articles, and books) to help you with everything from the planning to the execution of branching scenarios.

Enjoy these resources to help you design and build branching scenarios for e-learning.

  • Hi Diane! How’s life treating you?

Since we last spoke, I moved my office into a trailer.RV and have been working PT as I travel around the country taking video and images for Youtube… It makes life more interesting!

    Thanks for the above resources!
