Top 10 Free Stock Image Sites for E-Learning

It’s not always easy to find high-quality images for your e-learning when you’re working on a budget. If you can’t afford the popular stock image sites, you might think you’re only option is to take your own photos. Luckily, that doesn’t have to be the case!

In recent years, there has been a huge surge of free stock image sites that offer photos, vector graphics, and even videos! Many of these free stock image sites make their photos available with the Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license. This means you can copy, modify, or distribute the images, even for commercial purposes, all without asking permission or providing attribution!

  • Hi, very informative article.
Please also check out https://www.goodfreephotos.com for thousands of unique public domain photos, all high-resolution and free to use for any purpose. We specialize in photos by location as we document cities, national parks, state parks, national landmarks, and more. We update with 20+ photos each week. Appreciate it if you could add us to your list of sites.

  • Thanks for the article, more resources is always good. I use Pixabay myself, and find it pretty adequate. That said, there really can be value in properly chosen images – the state of mind plays a really big role in one’s educational process.

    • Thanks for commenting, Nikos! Making the right image selections is critical in developing an effective e-learning course!
